I would like to share with you the new customs rules that we have just received, regarding consolidation activity and all LCL sea and air movements from main ports to public or private warehouses under customs control.
The content of attached circular based on delivering HS code and commercial value of good on the manifest cargo before arrival of vessel or Flight (48 hours before) ; if this required information is not delivered on time to the customs authorities , cnee of the consol will bear a penalty defined by the customs authorities.
I rely on your precious understanding and your involvement in terms of spreading this inform among your partners so as to avoid any pending shipments, penalties and delays. This rule concerns FCL & LCL subject to coload or consol box.
The Moroccan customs is very strict concerning this matter which targets harmonizing the customs system with the international level and at the same time limiting the risk of fraud.
This rule will be officially applied from 4 February 2013
